Texting is now the leading cause of death for teenage drivers. Not drinking, according to an article in Mother Jones. Every day, about a dozen teens die in traffic accidents involving texting.
Mother Jones has a map showing how much each state fines texters. Four states (Arizona, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota) do not ban texting while driving. My state, Indiana, has one of the highest fines–$500, which is $150 more than the fines of our four neighboring states COMBINED. Kentucky, our southern neighbor, charges just $25.Leave a comment
