Pam

Pam and I were married in 1989, after five years of dating. We met when she attended my church in Huntington while attending Huntington College. She graduated from HC in 1984. By the time we got married, she was working for the Christen-Souers CPA firm in Fort Wayne. Today, she's one of the partners.

Pam is a partner in the CPA firm of Christen•Souers LLC., which has an office on the east side of Fort Wayne.

Pam grew up in the Fort Wayne area, and graduated in 1980 from Homestead High School. Like me, she's the oldest of three kids. Her brother Jim lives around South Whitley, Ind., and Jodie lives in Fort Wayne. Jim has three sons and a daughter, and Jodie has two sons.

We lived in an apartment for four years, and then bought our own house. We've been in that house since 1993.

In 1998, Pam and I joined a group of about 30 alumni from Huntington College on a two-week trip to Europe. The main attraction was the famous Passion Play in Obberamargau, Germany, an eight-hour extravaganza which the town puts on once every ten years.

We spent a week in Germany and Austria (housed in a beautiful Bavarian skiing village in Austria), and then spent an amazing week in Italy. We visited Venice, Assisi, Rome, Florence, Pisa, and other places. I also learned that once you've had Italian gelato, American ice cream never again tastes very good. Why can't Americans make gelato? We spent a day in Switzerland, plus about 15 minutes in France, then flew back to the States from Frankfurt, Germany. You can check out pictures of that trip here.
